Automatic crash detection
Phone accelerometer detects impacts above 4g and auto-triggers an SOS countdown. Cancel if you're fine — otherwise your emergency contact gets an SMS with your live GPS location.
Manual SOS alert
Long-press the SOS button on the live map to instantly alert your emergency contact with your live location via SMS. One tap cancels if accidental.

Is RideMesh free?
Yes. Core ride coordination — planning, live tracking, group chat, push-to-talk, voice calls, and SOS — will stay free. If we add paid features later, we'll give clear advance notice and never charge without your explicit consent.
Does it work without internet?
Live features (location sharing, chat, voice) need a mobile-data connection — they're real-time. Map tiles are cached so the map view degrades gracefully on a flaky signal. Full offline maps are on the Phase 2 roadmap.
Is my location private?
Yes. Only riders who join your ride with your invite code see your live location — strangers can't track you. All location data is automatically deleted 30 days after a ride ends. Full details in our Privacy Policy.
Where is my data stored?
On Amazon Web Services in the Mumbai region (
